Cardiac Physiologist
As the only Cardiac physiologist on the 2012 Mission, Karolina's role was to operate the specialist equipment.
Diagnostic imaging with ultrasound, is used to assess patients' progress before and after surgery. The lack of these facilities in Galle meant the team carried some of that equipment with them.
Speaking of her involvement Karolina says "It was great to show the expertise of Evelina Children's Hospital, and represent the UK .... and the children were adorable!"
