Fundraising days at Gillingham FC 18th January, 2014

Gillingham Football Club will be hosting the first of two fundraising days for Take Heart Mercy Mission at their Sky Bet League 1 match against Tranmere Rovers on Easter Bank Holiday Friday, 18 April.

The Gills, whose Chairman is Take Heart Mercy Mission Chairman and Trustee Paul Scally, adopted Take Heart as their official club charity in 2012 and will be hosting the fundraising days as part of a summer of charity initiatives at the club.

The match, which kicks-off at 3.00pm, will see the club organise a bucket collection at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium turnstiles, together with a number of other fund-raising opportunities on the day.

The medics and staff from the Evelina Children’s Hospital, who volunteer their services every year for our Mercy Missions, will also be attending and will be presented to the Gillingham supporters before kick-off in the match.

Gillingham’s second Take Heart fundraising match has been scheduled for the first home fixture of the 2014/15 campaign, in August. A date and kick-off time for the game will be confirmed when the new Football League season’s fixtures are announced in June 2014.
